bespoke apps.

Off-the-shelf price.

Cost-effective apps built just for your growing business. The Nuvola App Framework allows us to quickly build tailor-made mobile apps.

We use an existing framework to build our apps but give it a personal touch for each client. This means you’ll get a custom, bespoke app in a short timeframe for a predictable and reasonable cost.

Our charges aren’t ‘per user’ costs. You don’t need to calculate unknown quantities like an extra employee or number of downloads. The cost is predictable and will remain the same.¹

Choose between a standard or an advanced build package.

¹If your app’s needs exceed our shared server’s capacity we may need to move you to a dedicated server for an extra monthly charge. Your app will be delivering real value by the time you need this.

² For apps not released via the app store (see below), notification services may not work on Apple iOS devices.

³ Integration will depend on availability of an API (application programming interface) that we can connect to.

Do you need the app stores?

App Store or Google Play? Now there’s a third option: neither!

Progressive Web Apps, or PWAs, use a web page (like ‘ourdomain.com/app’) instead of the stores. But the app behaves just like any other, so you can add it to your home screen, log in, run it full screen…

Not having to go through the stores gives a lot more flexibility. The app instantly works across Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, ChromeOS (or any other weird and wonderful platform you might find). Google is really pushing PWAs, though Apple is slightly behind the curve (so notifications don’t yet work on iPhones, for example).

We think PWAs, like our framework, are the way forward.

Of course, there may be good reasons why you want your app on the App Store (like iPhone notifications), and luckily it’s possible to build a PWA (so it still works anywhere) and package it up for release on the stores too. This is more work for us to release and maintain so will add a little to upfront and ongoing charges.

With all the options to consider for your app, we’ll work with you to identify the best solution for your business needs.
