our journey

Nuvola was founded by James Geldart in 2003 with the intention of bringing big-company systems to small businesses. Since then, we’ve gone through a lot of different phases, yet we’ve still kept clients from the early days (our longest-standing client dates from 2006).

Technology has changed a lot in the last 20+ years, but one thing remains the same: businesses need good software that fits their needs to make them productive, effective and efficient. We are experts in delivering that, whether it’s a complex, custom-developed system or an off-the-shelf product.

Technology is a tool. It doesn’t matter how it works, it’s what you do with it that counts. We all use it to connect with others, get stuff done and find out things.

At Nuvola, we do know how it works. But people, processes and information are our focus.

We’ll work with you to uncover how information flows within, through and around your business, so we can identify and implement the tools that will give the most benefit. By taking advantage of what’s available and modifying it where needed, our systems give you an integrated tech solution in the most cost-effective way.

Working with us

Our process is rooted in understanding what you are trying to achieve.

For our custom projects, we follow the process shown here, starting with a discovery call that leads to a high level proposal. If you’re happy with this, we do a fixed price scoping exercise that’s a deep dive into your business requirements.

This sets the scope for the project and the price you’ll pay. Then we involve you right through the build process to make sure what we build is aligned with what you need.

For our Taskation product, we generally do a slimmed down scope and implementation based on the same process, so you are able to get the most out of the system
